Howdy Mate~

Took a trip down under for a vacation. Haven't had one since a long time, and while i have been to Australia a couple of times, it is always for work but never for vacation. So had a chance to take some pictures other than the standard Opera House/Harbour Bridge - even though i did take a few shots of those!

Sydney has a lot of beaches/rock pools, and it must be amazing to have a coastal home and wake up to the sea!

The Bondi Beach Rockpool

The Bronte Beach - The rockpool here is closer to the waves and for some reason, lesser people swimming in it, even though i think it is nicer. The fact that it is further away than Bondi could have something to do with it.

Some surfing?

How about taking a perch and admiring the sea at a ledge?

Besides these 2 beaches, there is still the overly popularized Manly Beach, which while i visited, i didn't take any photos. Some bush walking from Manly area though, and these are the treks taken

The trekking brought us to the a lookout for this view at North Head:

Even when you walk further on to Fairfax... the foggy weather didn't really give a good view at all. Supposed to be able to see Sydney City from here.

Actually i prefer the more peaceful soothing kind of beaches. One of the less touristy area (though still touristy), Balmoral Beach
Feel like owning a yatch?

I am a car person though..... can you imagine driving through this? Long sweeps of empty road by the coast. Even better if it is a convertible.

Presenting the Grand Pacific Drive!

Also did a day trip - paid a visit to Sydney's most famous sister - the 3 sisters at the Blue Mountain!
Tthe view of Jamison Valley is really really nice ~

Doesn't look very blue to me, but the blue is from the eucalyptus trees' vapor (vicks vapour rub anyone?) which will give a blue overhang over the valley/mountain ranges.

From other lookouts, you can see the bridal veil fall - although there is not much water for the veil to form... luck has it that there is a rainbow, which though small, is still visible.

That about sums up the trip. Beaches, mountains and, not forgetting.... the iconic Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Night view:
And the Opera House, standing on the Harbour Bridge.
Quite a nice place and weather is fantastic given that it is nearing the end of summer. Definitely worth a visit.
